About the Project

CarGar is a marketplace platform that revolutionizes how clients find and collaborate with auto garages. The system uses an intelligent matchmaking algorithm that hides garages by default and reveals them only after the client defines their problem, automatically connecting the most relevant services based on offered service and geographical distance (99km radius).

The platform includes dual landing page (clients and garages), complete Stripe integration for payments and invoicing, DocuSign for digital contracts, GPS tracking and photo verification at car pickup, review & rating system and complaint management with 48h window. Garages pay a subscription fee to send offers (maximum 50 per request).

Challenge & Solution

Challenge:
Clients wasted time searching for trustworthy auto garages and comparing prices, while garages invested in advertising without guarantee of reaching the right customers. Lack of price transparency, absence of service verification system and difficulty managing complaints created distrust on both sides.

Solution:
We built CarGar, a web + mobile platform (PHP + MySQL + Bootstrap) with intelligent matchmaking algorithm. The system hides garages by default and automatically connects them with clients based on required service and distance (99km radius). Includes Stripe integration for secure payments and invoicing, DocuSign integration for digital contracts, GPS + photo verification at car pickup, rating & review system and complaint management with 48h window.

Core Features

Smart Matchmaking

Intelligent algorithm that hides garages by default and automatically connects them with clients based on requested service and distance (99km radius). Garages can send maximum 50 offers per request. Automatic sorting by distance (1km, 2km, etc.).

Secure Payments

Complete Stripe integration for secure payment processing, automatic invoicing and email confirmations. Clients pay directly through the platform, and money is transferred to the garage after service completion confirmation.

Digital Contracts

DocuSign integration for electronic signing of contracts and confidentiality clauses. Garages sign digital onboarding contracts, and clients sign car receipt forms ("I received the car in good condition").

GPS & Photo Verification

Mandatory verification through photo upload and GPS location at car pickup from client. The system creates proof of pickup for both parties, preventing disputes about initial vehicle condition.

Rating & Review System

Complete review and rating system for garages after service completion. Clients can leave ratings (1-5 stars) and detailed comments that influence the garage's visibility in future matchmaking.

Complaint Management

Complaint ticket system with 48h window after service completion. Clients can open complaints if issues exist, and administrators can mediate and resolve disputes between clients and garages.

Customer Journey

1. Service Request

Client selects car brand, model, manufacturing year and engine type. Completes form with needed service type (oil change, brakes, painting, etc.), problem description and can upload optional photos.

2. Service Discovery & Offers

After submit, system automatically matches relevant garages based on service and location (99km). Garages can send offers (max 50) with price and estimated time. Client also sees estimated price suggestion based on garage history.

3. Payment & Order

Client selects a garage, pays through Stripe (secure) and receives invoice and email confirmation. Selected garage is notified and can begin pickup process.

4. Service Execution & Completion

Garage uploads photo + GPS location at pickup. Client signs digital receipt form. After completion, client confirms, can open complaint within 48h or leave review & rating.

Vendor Journey

1. Onboarding & Subscription

Garage completes profile (name, location, description, garage photos, number of mechanics, website, phone). Selects serviced brands and service categories. Signs contract via DocuSign and pays subscription fee via Stripe (mandatory to send offers).

2. Service Listing

Garages create service listings: service name, description, photo, how many mechanics. Services are categorized (small, medium, large) and can be automatically matched with client requests.

3. Offer Submission

Garage sees relevant client requests within 99km radius. Can submit offer with price and estimated completion time. Dashboard shows all active, accepted offers and history.

4. Service Execution & Reviews

After client selection, garage uploads photo + GPS at pickup, performs service and uploads completion confirmation. Receives digital confirmation from client and review & rating that influences future matchmaking.

Technical Implementation

Backend

PHP - server-side logic, matching algorithm, request processing. MySQL - database for users, requests, offers, services, reviews, complaints.

Frontend

Bootstrap - responsive design, UI components. CSS - custom styling adapted to auto domain, category-based layouts, Full HD images.

Payment & Invoicing

Stripe API - secure payment processing, subscription fees for garages, automatic invoice generation, email confirmations for both parties.

Digital Contracts

DocuSign API - electronic signing of vendor onboarding contracts, confidentiality clauses, digital car receipt forms from client.

Location & Verification

GPS Location Services - location tracking at car pickup. Photo Upload - initial vehicle condition verification, proof of pickup for both parties.
